1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Grobe:

• Account Information: Username and password (password is securely hashed and never stored in plain text)
• Health Profile: Height, weight, age, gender, health conditions, and fitness goals you provide during onboarding
• Meal Data: Photos of meals you scan, along with the AI-generated nutritional analysis results
• Usage Data: Basic app usage information to improve our service

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

• Provide personalized nutritional analysis and health insights
• Track your daily nutrition against your personalized targets
• Generate organ health impact assessments based on your meal history
• Provide personalized voice coaching and daily reports
• Improve and maintain the App

3. AI Processing

Meal images are sent to OpenAI's API for nutritional analysis. Images are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored by our AI provider. The analysis results are stored in your account to provide tracking features.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in our PostgreSQL database. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. Session data is stored server-side with secure HTTP-only cookies.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data is only shared with:

• OpenAI: Meal images for AI analysis (processed in real-time, not stored)
• RevenueCat: Anonymous subscription status management
• Apple: Payment processing for subscriptions via App Store

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings menu in the app. Account deletion permanently removes all your data including your health profile, meal history, and account credentials.

7. Children's Privacy

Grobe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data through the app
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your meal history
• Opt out of non-essential data collection

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
